The day my father bought an Aiwa CD Stereo System in 1991 was the day I was formally introduced to music. My parents were music buffs and they were big fans of Whitney Houston. Back then, I would wake up at 6:00am to the tune of Whitney Houston’s You Give Good Love from her debut album (in picture).
It was because of Whitney Houston that I secretly wished to be a make-up artist. You see, my parents not only have her albums on cds but we have a huge VHS collections of her concerts and music videos. And every time I watched one of her concerts, I would always ask my mom why her make-up doesn’t fade even though she’s sweating, and my mom would always answer that she’s wearing water-proof make-up. That started my love affair with make-up.
It’s so sad to hear that one of the greatest voices ever has passed away. Her life is a painful reminder that life really is all about your choices.
